DIVING TRIPS
There are 28 reefs between Miri and Sibuti area.
The best time to dive in Miri is March to September, when you can expect visibility of up to 30m.
During the rest of the year, the monsoon can cause visibility to drop to 10m or less.
See the Dive Map for more details about Miri's dive sites.
GUIDED DIVES
Explore Miri’s reefs & wrecks as part of a guided group from our comfortable new boat. The boat is fully equipped with emergency Oxygen equipment, radio, and all maritime safety equipment.
Light lunch and refreshments included. Optional third dive can be provided.
Normally we start at 0900, and if taking the 2 dive package, we return about 1400 hrs.
If you book a group of 4 or more divers, we will work to your timetable. Tides permitting.
UNGUIDED DIVES
You will taken to the dive sites by our new and fast boat. Your trip will be
charged at the same rate as guided dives, but we allow experienced divers, photographers etc the freedom of exploring without the “crowd”.
The dive boat will be on the dive site throughout to provide cover and support.
You will be provided with the 3 items of equipment needed, and you will be briefed on the dive site including any hazards before entering the water. The briefing includes diver recall signals ( in the case of deteriorating weather or medical injury) and you are given the choice of return to and ascent up the buoy line, or ascent using the DSMB or safety sausage to be picked up by the dive boat.
You will be expected to provide a simple dive plan to the Divemaster and “dive the plan”.
On safety grounds, RMd reserve the right to refuse the unguided tour option to anyone not suitably experienced.
If you book a group of 4 or more divers, we will work to your timetable.
